We know you guys are excited for GVL Fest 2024 but here are a few things you need to know about RFID Wristbands and why we are using them this year!
What Are RFID Wristbands?
RFID, or Radio Frequency Identification, wristbands are the latest tech marvel transforming festival experiences. Each wristband contains a tiny chip that communicates with RFID readers placed at various entry points around the festival grounds. This technology makes entry smoother and more secure.
#1: Reduce Fraud
RFID chips make it easy for each fan to be uniquely identified, which makes it almost impossible to counterfeit/replicate. If for some reason your wristband becomes lost, we would be able to quickly deactivate the wristband and issue a replacement before any fraudulent activity occurs.
#2: Durability
These wristbands are very durable so you will be able to wear them all weekend long. They are able to get wet, and will not come loose! So don’t worry, a shower won’t mess it up. (wink) Wristbands are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. Once you put your RFID wristband on and tighten it, you will not be able to take it off. If your wristband is tampered with you will be asked to purchase a replacement wristband.
#3: Reduce Lines
No one enjoys lines. Especially while trying to get into a music fest! RFID wristbands will elevate your experience by making getting through the gates each day faster and as easy as cake. Using RFID wristbands you will be able to scan it and walk right into the party versus having to scan a barcode and get paper wristbands each day. Once inside the fest, VIP and Super VIP will each have their entrances where you will scan your wristband to access that ticket type! This helps our security team as well with identifying who is allowed in each ticket type!
#4: Re-entry
RFID technology offers real-time tracking of attendees. This can help manage crowd flow and enhance safety measures, making re-entry and overall crowd management more efficient.
